Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 18, 2026
Thinking With Pictures ("TWP", "we") is a creative sandbox game at thinkwith.pictures. This policy describes what information we collect when you play, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Discord, we receive and store your Discord user ID and username. When you sign in with Google, we receive and store your Google account identifier and first name. We do not request or store your email address from either provider. If you register a passkey, we store its public key credential; biometric data never leaves your device.
- Content you create. Images you upload, scenes you build, drawings, items, scene scripts, notes, and similar content are stored on our infrastructure so the game can display them to you and, where you choose to publish them, to other players.
- Gameplay records. Your inventory, the scenes you have visited, links between scenes, resource ("strain") usage, and similar game state.
- Reports you submit. Bug reports and abuse reports, including any description and diagnostic details included with them.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (such as IP address and browser user-agent) collected by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, used for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.
Cookies
We use a single, strictly functional session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
How we use information
- To operate the game: hosting your scenes and items, syncing your world across devices, and showing published content to other players.
- To power AI features you invoke (such as the Forge, AI Scene Forge, and QR Art): the images and text you submit are sent to third-party AI infrastructure providers (such as Modal and OpenRouter) solely to generate your result. We do not use your content to train our own models.
- To protect the service: rate limiting, resource accounting, moderation of reported content, and security investigation.
- To fix problems you report to us.
What other players can see
Scenes you publish, content placed in them, and your nickname are visible to other players and to anyone you share a scene link with. Unpublished scenes are private to your account.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers that run the game (hosting and AI processing, described above), when required by law, or to investigate abuse of the service.
Retention and deletion
Your content and account data are kept while your account is active. You can delete scenes and items yourself at any time. To request deletion of your account and its data, contact us on our Discord server.
Children
Thinking With Pictures is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will be announced in the game or on our Discord server.
